Rules and Regulations

1. Annual Membership Fee $50.00

2. Tournament Entry Fee (1 day tournament) $25.00 (per person)

Tournament Entry Fee (2 day tournament) $40.00 (per person)

Big Bass: $5.00 per day of fishing to be paid as follows: $3.00 first big bass $2.00 second big bass

Note: Same person cannot win both pots.  

3. Tournament Director has complete charge and control of tournament.

4. A member may take the same person as a guest one time only during the year unless under the age of 16. Guest will be eligible to fish for prizes if he/she pays the entry fee. No one under the age of 16 may fish tournaments unless accompanied by a parent or guaridian. Anyone 16 or older may join the Enid Bass Club.

5. Only boater or non-boater partner may draw a number for boat take-off position and must be at the pre-tournament meeting to be eligible to do so. Starter boat will be the highest number drawn. During two day tournaments, the take-off order will be reversed on day two and the boat with the lowest number will be the starter boat.

 

6. All fish weighed in will be according to Oklahoma Wildlife Lake Regulation. A penalty of one pound is assessed (from the angler’s legal fish) for any fish weighed in under the legal length limit. If a fisherman does not have any legal fish to weigh in, he/she will be penalized one point for each illegal fish. Only 5 fish may be brought to the scales in an Enid Bass Club water filled weigh-in bag. If more than 5 fish are brought to the scales the largest fish is/are ineligible for weigh-in. Courtesy bumps are not allowed at the scales. Dead fish are determined at the weigh in scales by the tournament director and individual selected to assist with the weigh in. Dead fish weighed in are penalized as follows:

1 fish - .50 2 fish – 1.00 3 fish – 1.50 4 fish – 2.00 5 fish – 2.50

7. Tournament entry fees are repaid as follows:

90% pay out to contestants, 10% retained by club for administration and expenses.

Note: 5% deducted from gross entry fees and the remaining balance paid using the following scale.

8. Individual fishing honors will be determined by points accumulated during the year by each fisherman as follows:

5 points for each mandatory club function attended (not mentioned below)

3 points for each club meeting attended

3 points for each tournament attended

1 point for each pound of fish weighed in

1 point for each fish weighed in

9. Surplus funds at the end of the season are too paid to the top three anglers with the highest points accumulated, not to exceed the amounts below:

$100.00 & Trophy – 1st Place

$75.00 & Trophy – 2nd Place

$50.00 & Trophy – 3rd place

Trophy – Big Bass of the Year

Trophy – Rookie of the Year

10. All members of the Enid Bass Club "must" be a member in good standing with B.A.S.S.

11. Any member that has been in good standing for a minimum of one year and lives outside a fifty mile radius of Enid will be awarded meeting points per tournament attended.

12. All boats used in tournament fishing will be checked by a tournament official prior to each day’s start.

- Boats will have operable navigation lights. Navigational lights are required while underway (in motion) prior to official sunrise and after sunset and during daylight periods of reduced visibility.

- Boats will have an operable ignition kill switch. The ignition kill device must be attached to the drivers body/approved life jacket anytime the combustion engine is operating.

- Participants must wear approved life jackets when the combustion engine is operating. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

- Boats will have an operable bilge pump and properly aerated live well and/or live wells.

- Any boat that fails the official boat inspection will not be used that day.

13. Tournaments are a maximum of 9 hours except for split day tournaments; those hours are set at the tournament meeting.

14. Rules:

- No alcohol in boats during tournament.

- No illicit drugs of any nature in boats in tournament.

- All members will conduct themselves and their boat in an orderly manner as a representative of the Enid Bass Club at each lake and tournament fished.

- All participants will obey Oklahoma Boating Safety Laws, Rules and Regulations.

- Boats must idle under all bridges on tournament lakes. The penalty for running a bridge is disqualification.

- All participants in the tournament must be at the tournament ramp on time. If a competitor is late, before fishing, they must find another participant (other than your partner) to conduct a boat inspection (kill switch, live wells, lights).

15. Late Penalty:

- Competitors who are not in the official checkpoint area at the appointed time shall be penalized at the rate of one pound per minute to be deducted from the total weight of their catch that day; including any Big Bass for each one minute they are late. Any competitor more than 15 minutes late shall lose all credit for that day’s catch. There is no excuse for tardiness and in no case will a competitor be allowed to make up lost time.
